Before Orientation

Before attending orientation, encourage your student to:

  1. Memorize their Campus Wide Identification Number (CWID)
  2. Prepare for the math placement test online
  3. Review the undergraduate catalog and course schedules through myBama
  4. Have their immunization form (MMR and meningitis immunization and TB test) prepared by your family doctor for electronic submission through myBama
  5. Get questions answered about on-campus and off-campus housing
  6. Submit their photo for the Action Card (student ID)
  7. Become familiar with the office of First Year Experience
  8. Stay tuned for more information about how to purchase student football tickets online. Supply of tickets is limited and is on a first come, first serve basis.
  9. Learn about Bama Dining meal options
  10. Declare or change their major through myBama.
  11. Prepare for academic advising session by visiting this advising page and reviewing the undergraduate catalog.
