Parent & Family Programs welcomes over 5,000 – 7,000 family members to Tuscaloosa for Family Weekend annually. Family Weekend is a weekend with three main goals for UA families: To reconnect and spend time with your UA student; To experience UA traditions; and To explore Tuscaloosa, your UA student’s new “home away from home.”

      • Every summer, Parent & Family Programs publishes an academic calendar (August – August), which includes campus-wide resources and events for the entire upcoming academic year as well as monthly discussion topics to ensure additional year-long use of the calendar.

      • Every summer, Parent & Family Programs publishes an Parent & Family Orientation Guide, which is a comprehensive guide to all UA resources that complements their orientation experience but serves as a reference guide for the remainder of their student’s UA experience
