FAMILY WEEKEND SCHEDULE

Any weather schedule changes will be emailed directly to Family Weekend ticket holders.

For Friday, Family Weekend Shuttle (a chartered Crimson Ride bus) will stop at the Stallings Dr./East Perimeter Parking Lot (702 Johnny Stallings Dr.), the UA Student Center, and the President’s Mansion (the Quad) from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. to help you get around campus. **

Registered Family Weekend participants should check in to pick up their Family Weekend packets, including a Family Weekend guide, schedule of events, clear stadium bag, and event wristbands/ tickets. ** NOTE: Big Al, the Alabama mascot will be making an appearance at check-in from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Anyone arriving after 7:00 p.m. can pick up their packet at the Saturday Family Weekend tailgate.

Self-Guided Tour | Tuscaloosa Civil Rights History Trail

Visit the Warner Transportation Museum for free admission to learn how they aim to advance knowledge and appreciation of Tuscaloosa’s local and regional history.

11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. | Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life Open House
Stop by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life to learn more about the Greek community and meet the staff. Both current and prospective members and their families are welcome to drop in!

Join the Education Abroad Team and current Faculty Directors at our information tent on the BB Comer lawn! The EA team will offer general information about the study abroad process, and the Faculty Directors will talk about the in’s and out’s of participating on one of our UA-sponsored programs. 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. | Safe Zone Open House
The Safe Zone will host an Open House for UA students and parents to build community as well as learn more about what resources the center provides and what events are planned for the upcoming academic year. Refreshments will be provided for all attendees.

5:15 p.m.–7:00 p.m. | Family Weekend Kickoff Concert *weather permitting
Families will experience an evening in downtown Tuscaloosa. This event will take place at the beautiful Government Plaza and includes musical entertainment and a charming southern ambiance. Enjoy one of our many restaurants or food truck options (for purchase) and join us for a taste of life in Tuscaloosa. Present the ticket from your Check-In packet for a free picnic blanket (blankets are 1 per family to the first 500 families: only available at the Kickoff Concert). Food trucks meals are on your own and are not covered in family weekend ticket price.  ** Entertainment by Even Odds, games, and blankets paid by Family Weekend registration fees. This event is co-sponsored by Visit Tuscaloosa.

8:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. | Movie Under the Stars with University Programs
Join University Program for a free movie & snacks on the John England lawn. Parking will be available at the Student Center Parking Deck 800 Campus Dr. West, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 (**Family Weekend Wrist Band Required). Rain location Student Center

Join Parent & Family Programs for a tailgate to celebrate the Crimson Tide. During the Family Weekend Tailgate, you can create memories through our family photo stations and activities to experience the Crimson Tide tradition. Experience a taste of Tuscaloosa with your Family Weekend Tailgate meal included with your wristband. Look for the balloon arch and Tailgate signage. **

Consider dining at Central Mesa to support the UA Family Fund. Twenty percent of all sales go to the UA Family Fund. This event was previously scheduled for Thursday but had to be moved due to unexpected building maintenance.

Enjoy brunch and live music with your UA family at Lakeside Dining Hall, one of our amazing dining locations. Join Bama Dining for a silent auction with over 20 items your student would love. Credit cards only accepted. All proceeds of the silent auction go to the Student Care and Wellbeing Student Life Campus Pantry. ** Parents who did not purchase family weekend tickets can pay $10.50 at the door.

9:00 a.m. -9:45 a.m. & 9:45 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. | Family Weekend Family Outdoor Yoga* (Registration Required)
Come to the Student Center Lawn to enjoy one of our two Family Weekend Yoga sessions. Parental supervision is required for non-student individuals under 19 years of age to participate. **

5:30 p.m. Sunday | Bloom Hillel at UA
Bloom Hillel would like to invite all families to join them in the celebration of Yom Kippur while visiting Tuscaloosa. Erev Yom Kippur meals begin at 5:30 at Bloom Hillel.
