The Office of Parent Programs supports the successful academic and social transition of new students into The University of Alabama community, as well as educates, provides resources, and promotes continuous relationships among our students, parents, families, and the University.

At The University of Alabama, we welcome parents and families as partners in your student’s success at the Capstone. We recognize the crucial role that each of you play in your student’s college education. It is our goal to assist you in supporting the transition and academic success of your student by providing the resources you need to stay involved.

Purpose

The Office of Parent Programs serves parents and family members of UA students by providing helpful information and resources to allow the proper level of involvement in your student’s college experience. Parent support is crucial to your student’s success at the Capstone, and we welcome you as members of the UA Family.

Parent Programs offers a wide variety of events and educational programming to allow parents the opportunity to find their place at The University of Alabama. From Parent Orientation to Family Weekend or serving on the Parent Advisory Council, there is something for every family member.

We encourage you to keep a close check on this website and enroll in our Parent Email Notification program (PENPALS) to receive updates and important deadlines. Please include your name and email address.
