Family Weekend has three main goals for UA families:
During Family Weekend, there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy time with your student and achieve those goals as a family.
The Family Weekend registration fee is $45 for UA students and $45 for family members over age 2 and includes:
Families will experience an evening in downtown Tuscaloosa with Parent & Family Programs. This event will include live entertainment in the beautiful Government Plaza and the option to purchase food from local restaurants and food truck vendors. This event is open to the Tuscaloosa community and is not a ticketed event. Present the ticket from your Check-In packet for a free picnic blanket (blankets are 1 per family to the first 500 families; only available at the Kickoff)! Join Parent & Family Programs for a tailgate 3 hours before kickoff with food, goodies, and Crimson Tide tradition and pride! Look for the balloon towers and Tailgate signage! Corner of Bryce Lawn (315 Bryce lawn Drive) 87.5407874°W 33.2133537°N (not on the Quad but it is close)
Enjoy brunch, hosted by Bama Dining, with your UA family at one of our amazing campus dining locations, Lakeside Dining Hall. A great way to cap off your weekend on campus! Family Weekend participants will use their FW wristband for admission.
Come out to the UA Student Center Lawn to enjoy some relaxing!
Brunch: admission for those who haven’t registered can be purchased at the door.
Nothing will be available for purchase at Check-In.
NOTE: Orders placed after 9/16/24 will not be shipped in time for Family Weekend. Last day to order is 10/20/24. Family Weekend t-shirts are available for purchase. T-shirts will be mailed directly to the address that you enter at check-out. Purchase Family Weekend 2024 T-shirts here.
For every Family Weekend registration, you can purchase one football ticket on a first-come, first-served basis. Note that your Family Weekend registration purchase does not include your football tickets but makes you eligible to purchase a football ticket on a separate transaction. The Family Weekend 2024 ticket block will be in the North (Section NN-2 – NN-13) and South (Section SS-7 – SS-13) upper deck.
If your student wants to sit with you in the stadium, you must register them for Family Weekend to make them eligible to purchase a Family Weekend football ticket in the Family Weekend section. This also applies if the student already has a ticket in a different section but wants to sit with you at the game. Learn more about student football ticketing.
Tickets are available for the optional Chocolate Festival Fundraiser for the Women and Gender Resource Center.
