What happens next?
We invite you to attend Parent Orientation, an event that prepares parents for the adjustments to college life and the transition your student will experience at The University of Alabama. Your support of your student’s education is critical to their success at the Capstone.
Parent Orientation allows parents, guardians, and other adults in your student’s life to learn about how your student will spend the next four years. You will get a glimpse of life at the Capstone, how to support your student while they are pursuing their degree, and how you can stay involved. You will also have an opportunity to meet other parents, learn the basics of living on campus, and see how your student will spend the next few years. We want to make sure you see all areas of campus, so please plan to wear comfortable shoes for Parent Orientation– there will be lots of walking!
Check out our webpages for more information regarding the Parent Orientation experience including student registration, sibling registration, an orientation checklist, dates and schedule, and FAQs. After reviewing the information on our website, you may register for Parent Orientation at the same time your student registers for Bama Bound or you may register at a later time, using the parent login and password your student created for you.
Parent Orientation fees are $80 for each parent/guardian attending any orientation session. Please note that all fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
