About Orientation Leaders

The Parent Ambassadors are a team of approximately 20 students who are recruited and trained to work with the Parent & Family Programs. They work mostly with Parent & Family Orientation, which is held during the summer along with Bama Bound new student orientation, but also assist with other programs our office hosts, as well as the Division of Student Life. Parent & Family Programs carefully selects students because of their experiences and potential to grow as student leaders. We look for students who want to serve the University and can represent UA’s community.

The Avantis are a team of approximately 50 students who are recruited and training to work with Orientation and Special Programs. They work mostly with Student Orientation, Bama Bound, held during the summer along with Parent & Family Orientation. They also assist with other programs the office hosts, as well as the Division of Academic Affairs.
